Product Description

Manual Pumps

The Thomas manual microinjection pump (MMP) is a convenient tool for precise manual injection of fluid using our microinjection glass or metal pipettes. The design allows visual feedback of flow at the pipette tip. The resolution of the injection volume can be continuously varied from nanoliters to the microliter range, depending on the syringe used. The device is available with an analog (MMP-A, article number: AN001877) manual operated micrometer drive. The Model MMP-A has the traditional mechanical micrometer head with a resolution of 10 microns per division and advances 500 micrometers per revolution. The injector is constructed with anodized aluminum for excellent stability and durability. The piston of the micrometer can be slid across the rail to the syringe's plunger position.

Manual Digital Pump

The digital syringe pump is a manual oparated pump with a digital display that allows a recise injection rate calculation. The device is available with a digital (MMP-D, article number: AN001878) manual operated micrometer drive. The Model MMP-D has the mechanical micrometer head with a digital display with a resolution of 10 microns per division and advances 500 micrometers per revolution. The injector is constructed with anodized aluminum for excellent stability and durability. The piston of the micrometer can be slid across the rail to the syringe's plunger position. The device uses a 1ml syringe with excellent performance for high pressure injection. We connect our glass injection fibers (OD=120µm, quartz glass) directly or via a special thick wall plastic tube to the syringe.

Motorized Pumps

The Thomas microinjection pump (MIP) is a software controlled motorized syringe based pressure injection pump for neurophysiological and neuropharmacological applications.

The MIP is available in a version to be used with Thomas fiber-multielectrode microdrive systems such as the “Eckhorn Matrix” or the “Mini Matrix”. Furthermore we offer the MIP as a stand-alone version for other applications. Click on the button below to get more information about our motorized injection systems!
