The Thomas RECORDING Multitrode is also available for the Thomas Motorized Electrode Manipulator (MEM). The multitrode for the MEM is a robust, multiuse, multicontact stainless steel electrode with an electrode array consisting of 7 gold contacts. The contact diameter is 40µm with a spacing of 125µm between the contacts. In the MEM the multitrode is guided in a stainless steel guide tube. An 8 channel preamplifier for the multitrode is available on request.

The Thomas Multitrode is available in two different lengths:

Type MEM40: Total length = 128mm

Type MEM10: Total length = 99mm

The frontal probe section of the Multitrode is adapted to the guide tube length and the electrode travel of the Thomas MEM (see drawings in figure 1 and 2). At the top end of the multitrode is a printed circuit board with connection cables or with an Omnetics connector. The probe connector is a compact multicontact connector, but other connectors are available on request. The probe tip is electrically connected to the electrode connector as an eights electrode contact and has a distance of app. 650-700µm to the first electrode array contact (for details see data sheet).
