Awake-behaving non-human primates (NHPs), specifically rhesus macaques (macaca mulatta), are often used in experiments involving psychophysics, electrophysiology, and cognition.
These tasks involve physical restraint of the animal to some degree in order to ensure safety for the researcher with minimal discomfort to the animal.
Thomas RECORDING primate chair model 2021 is our latest model of primate chairs and the result of more than 30 years of experience in the development and production of systems for non-human primates manufactured with the well known quality “Made in Germany”.
Key features:
- Made of polycarbonate, aluminum and stainless steel components.
- No sharp edges (all edges are rounded or deburred).
- Removable waste tray and several drip lips are included. The drip lips are located on the interior vertical surfaces just above the waste tray to direct any unconsumed food, or excreta, into the waste tray.
- Adjustable seat and waist plate to adapt the chair to the monkey size.
- Different primate head holders are available for this chair.
- Customization of the chair to your requirements is possible.
- Quality label “Made in GERMANY”.
